Last weekend we stayed in Linköping, we didnt go to Stockholm. First it was kind of hard to find availability in any hotel because of the Soccer game opposing Sweden to Denmark, no room available under 130eur !
I kind of know nice the Stockholm Map now after spending many days searching on internet those hotels ! And it looks like a great original city to visit, many things to see, lots of islands !
So i finally booked a boat hotel just in the heart on the city, close to Gamla Stan the old Stockholm, for the weekend of 22nd of September !

On Saturday evening we went to our host family for dinner . They are nice people, very kind ! We had the pleasure to taste the so popular Swedish Crayfish , with Schnapps and beer, they even sang us THE song to sing when you eat crayfish ! You should know that crayfish is very famous in our region , there are lots of fishing crayfish tours organized and so on ...
And it's funny to learn that any occasion is good for a Swede to sing (loud !) while drinking ( a lot !!) , depending on the food you eat, or the event you celebrate ! ( We had noticed that our neighbours students parties were kind of wild and noisy, now we know why !) Very impressive !
Concerning my unemployment... I've finally received that E303 form from France which allows me to receive 3 months unemployement insurance from Sweden, until 27 of November i have a salary, then...nada, nothing, peanuts !
Of course i've already started to look for jobs here. But one thing people should know before moving to Sweden, thinking it's easy here because everybody speaks english so nice..., is that it is absolutely NOT easy to find a job if you cant speak Swedish at all !
Even if in the companies most of the people speak english, the problem is to be able to find job, you have to be able first to "uncode" those job offers which are in Swedish ! And believe me, it is not an easy language !
I will start my swedish courses next monday, so i hope it will help me ! I'll have to work very hard on that language, i need a job !
Appart from the administrative work, which is ending up, i've started to go to sport center. I've already tried the aerobic and body toning courses, really nice ! I might try the Pilates course today...

I really liked your adventure which you experienced this weekend. Especially the host family part. I wish we were with you there, and we plan to visit u there in spring 2008.
By the way Chris; Though you are not used to people that sing loudly traditionally when they drink, your boyfriend is used to such an activity.
Because, Murat himself mourns, somersaults (takla atmak, dawar anla diye yazıyom, senin adana ingilizcen yetmez), screams, sings Turkish Classical music songs (especially the song Ankara Rüzgarı) when he drinks in his homecountry Turkey.
So, you should better give a bottle of alcohol to Murat this evening and order him to sing the song Ankara Rüzgarı loud (Her gören ağladı, kalbini bağladı dalgalı saçlarına...) he sings this song the best...
