Vadstena

Joyeuses Pâques ! Glad Pask !
This is the swedish Easter decoration : bunches of colorful feathers everywhere.

(snow storm in Stockholm last Monday)

For this Easter holidays, my family came from France to visit us for couple of days. The weather had never been so cold in Sweden during that week since we are here, so that was a bad luck for them, -10 degrees, wind and lots of snow ! But well , you don't expect Sweden to be sunny and warm in winter (ok, winter is almost off, but well...) !

On Sunday we went to Vadstena, a little town in Östergötland region (the region where we live !) by the lake Vättern. Lake Vättern is Sweden’s second largest and Europe’s fifth largest lake. With a surface area of 1912 square kilometres, a length of 135 kms, a width of 31 kms and a maximum depth of 128 meters . Vadstena is 1 hour drive from Linköping. It's a really charming old town with many old wooden houses, we also visited the castle and discovered more about King Vasa and his ancestors.

First time in my life i was seeing snow on a lake ! The landscape was just fascinating !
Here are a few pictures :
